Many Twitter and Facebook users would like to see who have visited their profile. That is not possible. If you see a post like this – even if it comes from a user you know – be careful:
It is a scam. The attackers want you to install a Twitter app that can:
- Read Tweets from your timeline.
- See who you follow, and follow new people.
- Update your profile.
- Post Tweets for you.
If you install the app, your Twitter will start posting the same link to your followers. Next step could include posting or retweeting spam, advertising etc.
Do not install fishy Twitter or Facebook apps. If you already did, go to settings -> apps, locate the malicious application and hit Revoke access. You can also delete any suspicious tweet the app has already posted from your account.
can’t find it in my Twitter Apps section.
Please help me!!!

If you can’t find it, it is not installed. If the problem persist, check all installed Twitter apps via https://twitter.com/settings/applications

I clicked one of the spam links accidentally and now it keeps posting the link on my account. It doesn’t seem like it’s installed any app since I can locate it in my settings. What should I do?

If you don’t know the name of the malicious app, try revoking the latest ones first https://twitter.com/settings/applications

I had a follower sign in to one of those applications. And I’d rather show people that the application post spam. So, I login. The who visited my profile is still posting on my feed. After I revoked their access and changed my pw. People don’t grant these applications access. They spam all over your feed. And followers feed.
